I owe $1 to ebay. Will they take legal action if I don't pay it?

Hey. I have been getting ebay emails for months now. Here is the message: "Your account is suspended due to non-payment and all of your current listings (including any Good 'Til Cancelled listings) have been removed and you can no longer buy or

Answers:

send them the dollar and don't concern yourself about any legal action, you don't want any no matter what

Probably not, but why would you want to end up with a black mark on your credit over $1?

It would go to a collection agency. The amount that you personally owe doesn't matter. Others owe them enough for them to be going to a collection agency. It's just as easy (probably easier) to send everyone that owes them money to the collection agency than to send only those who owe a lot and not send those that owe less.

The "legal action" would be suing you in court. But that would cost them more than $1, so they probably won't do it.

Pay it. If they send it to collections it will take years to get it off.

Yes.

And they WILL get that dollar....and the Court will make YOU pay their legal costs to do so...

Have fun!

There is no difference between $1 or $100. Amount owing is amount owing.

Ebay is a very wealthy and large entity - they will get what's owed to them. You're just hurting yourself by refusing to pony up 100 pennies.
