I looked it up what foods I can eat and shouldn t eat, but the foods it s telling i shouldn t eat, the sites are saying it s healthy!! please help!

The nurse should of told you that already.

I was scared to eat a tuna fish sandwich while pregnant, because my husband said it might have mercury. The lists of things to not eat are kind of frightening. Right off the bat I will assume you have not eaten raw eggs or undercooked eggs so I don't have to warn you against salmonella. I want to assume that you do not eat raw meat, and if you eat your meat rare it hasn't made you sick. I'm not sure if you eat fast food often, but I'd lean away from calories that come from french fries and lean towards calories that come from veggies, fruits, and string cheese.

The one thing I, personally, cut out was alcohol. I had a college roommate with fetal alcohol syndrome. I just wouldn't want to to that to a child of mine. I've read you can have a glass of wine and it won't hurt, but I didn't want the empty calories.

2 to 3 servings of meat, fish, nuts or legumes, and tofu
2 to 3 servings of dairy (milk, eggs, yogurt, cheese)
2 servings of green vegetables; 1 serving of a yellow vegetable
3 servings of fruit
3 servings of whole grain breads, cereals, or other high-complex carbohydrates
salt to taste
6 to 8 glasses of clean, filtered water each day.

I am going to provide you with a link to a source that I find to be very accurate. But first, I will add some information.

It isn't always about WHAT you are eating but it is ALWAYS about HOW it was prepared. The link I am providing lists the sort of things to avoid or how to make sure those things are prepared if you want those things. (example: Pasteurized eggs are safer than eggs that have not been Pasteurized. Eggs purchased from a store are most likely Pasteurized while eggs from a local farmer have not been Pasteurized.)

One thing that wasn't mentioned in this article though is salt. During the last trimester, salt intake can cause water retention and swelling in the feet and ankles. So, during pregnancy, it is a good idea to also reduce added salt. You don't need to actually count salt grams or completely avoid it, but if you start noticing swelling in your ankles during the later part of your pregnancy, reducing salt might help with that.
